First-year standout Henderson shone brightly with three touchdowns as the New England squad claimed an eighth straight win for the initial occasion since iconic QB Tom Brady's final season with the team in 2019
QB Drake Maye passed for 281 passing yards and a score, completing 25 passes from 34 throws
The triumph extends the Patriots lead at the summit of the AFC East as they moved to a 9-2 record, with the New York at the foot after dropping to a 2-8 mark
The visitors had gone in front at their home field with QB Justin Fields scoring a short rushing score to finish the New York's initial series
But the home team fought back in the second quarter as the rookie scored two short rushing scores before the ball carrier caught a pass from Maye at the back of the endzone midway through the third quarter to extend the lead to 21 to 7
"That was a big time for him stepping up, and it's been great for him to keep getting these reps," Maye said of the rookie. "He desires to be great."
Justin Fields connected with John Metchie in the latter part of the third quarter to narrow the deficit for the Jets but Borregales kicked a two field goals in the final period as the home side closed out the win
